Wedding Day Recommendations

The number one piece of advice I get from past brides is they wish they would have relaxed and enjoyed the day a little more with friends and family.

Couples spend so much time and effort into planning one of the most important days of their lives that they forget to turn off "planning mode" on the day of. The day will fly by and its important for couples to remember to have some fun and take the whole experience in.

The best way to ensure that you can enjoy your time is to make plenty of time for all picture ops and events. We try to do our part in helping you with timing by working with you to develop a proper timeline.

First Look

It's becoming more and more popular for couples to see each other before the ceremony. There are a lot of advantages to doing a first look, such as:

  • Better images of the groom seeing the bride for the first time
  • More time for bride and groom to spend with guests at cocktail hour
  • Family and bridal party do not have to be ready as early
  • Saves time with tighter time slots, and gives bride and groom a more relaxed photo op

Properly Plan your Day for Pictures

It is important for us to make sure that we are able to get a chance to take all the traditional family and bridal party pictures and still have time to be able to capture the emotion of the bride and groom. We also make sure to build in some time for you to relax before the ceremony.

If couples are doing the first look, we generally start pictures with bride and groom about 2.5 hours before the wedding, with the bridal party joining 1.5 hours prior and families 1 hour prior, leaving 30 minutes to relax as guests arrive.
